In the Full Sail's Project Launchbox video, I've noticed a couple things that make this video a recruitment tool. The first thing I noticed is that in the beginning when they start to introduce the school to viewers, they point out and discuss who attends this school. He mentions media creators, writers, designers, filmmakers, animators, to catch your attention. The video discusses the intriguing environment that the students work in, including professional equipment that the students get to work with. The second point I noticed that makes this video a recruitment tool is that they promoted the school by showing all of the awards that the school has received, making it the award-winning entertainment media college. Full Sail offers it's students production tools through the use of the Macbook Pro so that they can jump right into their desired degree program. This feature that Full Sail offers is very amazing and will bring future students in who can't wait to get started! Their never-ending projects at the Full Sail campus will lead every student in the direction towards their degree when it's earned so that they can jump right into a career. Last of all, they mention all their different and high-tech software that the students are able to use. Technology does't get in the way here at Full Sail because they have all the equipment and problem solving students to fix anything. Overall, this video sums up a story. A story that Full Sail cares about your education, and cares enough to make it fun! You will be able to learn tons of new and exciting skills to use in your future career. You're able to learn science through an art perspective.
The Dollar Shave Club announces their new product, One Wipe Charlies, and might I add that this video was HILARIOUS! DSC uses many techniques to wow their audience, blasphemy is one them. Everyone likes a company that can be edgy and over the top with their advertising and DSC has done just that to promote their newest product. You might think swearing at a little kid is horrible, but after watching DSC's "Let's Talk About #2" they make it seem super funny. Another technique they used, just like their approach in their very first video, is that the executive pops out of random places and cracks jokes one after the other. Like I said before, if you can make the audience laugh, you probably have future customers. Last of all, you might say that there is a story here, and maybe. The story I got out of it is that it's a great product, just a couple bucks for a 40 pack, and everyone poops so you might as well use One Wipe Charlies.
The Science World video uses a couple different ways to invite patrons to see the museum. First off, they start the video by showing the science building, they enter it and lip sync to the song "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" and "Taking Care of Business" by Bachman Turner Overdrive. One person will lead up to another person to take over leading you around their newly designed science building. Inside there are tons of happy children and even adults that are dancing around having a good time. Second technique they used are stunts. Once you get one minute into the video, they pop balloons with sparklers and even have professional par-core dudes killing it with their flips and turns. There's also sword fighting on the second floor and crazy gymnastics. Last of all, they sum up the video with all the members in centre stage to dance their butts off. This video is inviting and alluring to viewers and customers of the Science World Museum. Anyone who hasn't been their before I'm sure wants to go now. The story to this video is that at the Science World Museum, they know how to have fun! With their newly remodeled inside, and their whole dance crew, you just can't resist going to this museum.
